National Resophonic M2 - 2014  |  $1525  |  The wood-body M2 is National Resophonics recreation of a pre-WWII single cone National Trojan.  It's a very well made instrument and fairly consistent with the vintage Trojan.  But for the M2, National Resophonic added a little glitz with the addition of a pearloid head stock overlay and diamond-shaped fingerboard inlay.  This custom example omits these two enhancements and provides a more 'authentic' look and one-of-a-kind guitar.

The top and back are walnut-stained mahogany ply, and the sides solid mahogany, bound in w/b/w. The cover plate over the single cone is brushed nickel. The neck is mahogany and bound in white ivoroid. The tuners are engraved, ‘vintage’ style open back tuners.  There is an adjustable truss rod installed under the fingerboard, which meets the body at the 12th fret.

Overall, the guitar is in as-new, near mint condition, set up for a right-handed player (originally set up for a lefty).

The lower bout is 14" across.  Scale length is 25".  The neck is carved in a modern-feeling 'C' shape and measures 1 13/16" across at the nut with string spacing 2 1/4" at the saddle/biscuit.  Action is set at 6/64" and the guitar plays smooth and easy.  It produces a strong single-cone wail when pushed, with nice sustain and 'ring', but can also sound warm or funky, depending on playing style and attack.  A great blues guitar!

Comes with a hard case.
