Martin 00-17 1960 | SOLD | In the early 1930s Martin issued the 14-fret, all mahogany 00-17, and it was in production until 1960, making this guitar a final production year instrument.
The 00-17 features a solid mahogany body and mahogany neck. The bridge, fingerboard and head stock faceplate are Brazilian rosewood.
The body measures 14 3/8" across at the lower bout. Scale length is 25". The fingerboard measures 1 11/16" across at the nut.
This particular guitar is in remarkably excellent condition. There are no evident cracks or repairs, and the finish is original and sparkles like new .. only a few nicks to report. The tuners, nut and bridge pins appear original, and the original bridge is unmolested. The green-lined soft case looks original, too. The neck was recently reset with action set at 6 & 7/64". Fret were leveled and dressed and intonation is spot-on.
The guitar plays smoothly, and produces the classic Martin mahogany tone. This is a very nice finger picking guitar.
Comes with its likely original soft case.
